Firstly, thank you for taking the time to browse my website.
I’m James, an award-nominated photographer based in West Yorkshire, UK. I shoot almost exclusively using only natural or provided lighting and enjoy experimenting with colour contrasts and monochrome effects – I often seek that sense of drama or intrigue within an image.
Live events such as burlesque and music photography are my bread & butter so to speak, but I don’t wanna limit or pigeon-hole myself. I’m also into exploring landscapes, architecture, skateboarding and candid street photography but I’m not one to shy away from a new challenge. You name it (within reason), I’ll shoot it.
Be it new ideas and techniques, ways of storytelling or trying to make the viewer use their imagination to fill in the blanks, I’m always looking to push my visuals further. Art’s subjective innit but if you’re also a fellow ‘creative-type’ and want to collaborate, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and share your ideas.
