I’m James, an award-nominated photographer based in West Yorkshire, UK. I shoot almost exclusively using natural / provided lighting and love experimenting with high-contrasts and monochrome effects – personally, I feel these often add a real sense of drama or intrigue to an image.
Live music, Burlesque and event photography make up a majority of my work but I don’t wish to limit or pigeon-hole myself. I’m also passionate about exploring and capturing landscapes, architecture, street, nature and skateboarding photographs.
I’m always open to trying new ideas and techniques, making my photographs tell stories or letting viewers use their imaginations to fill in the blanks.
